Established in 1974 by Dr. John Harroff, Cabarrus Animal Hospital has been serving the pets of Cabarrus County for over 5 decades. The practice prides itself on offering progressive veterinary medicine, surgery and dentistry, creating an unparalleled client experience, and continuing a long tradition of being a family forward work culture. In 2014, the practice was sold to Doctors Michael Robinson and Blake Peurifoy. The two current owners both "grew-up" in the veterinary industry at Cabarrus Animal Hospital, both having started out in the kennels and cutting grass, before holding numerous other positions in the hospital before returning as veterinarians, and eventually purchasing the practice.
While Cabarrus Animal Hospital is a general practice at its core, and is blessed to have served multiple generations of Cabarrus County families, thanks to being home to some of the industry's best doctors and staff, Cabarrus Animal Hospital has also become a leader in advanced surgery and dentistry as well as practice that readily welcomes same-day, urgent care, and emergency appointments. As the practice is always looking for ways to expand their offerings as it strives to be a one-stop shop for all things animals, we also offer veterinary care for exotics (small mammals, reptiles, amphibians) in addition to having a certified dog trainer that works with dogs onsite.
While the practice has been in operation for over 50 years, in an effort to stay current and provide our clients with the best possible veterinary experience, the hospital has moved locations and undergone several renovations of its current space, with the most recent being completed in 2024. Through these renovations the practice continues to expand its offerings and ensures that the clients and pets will have access to cutting edge medical technology and clean, spacious clinic that makes even the most stressful vet visit, that much easier.
In an effort to further support the community at large, Drs. Robinson and Peurifoy opened their sister hospital, Harrisburg Animal Hospital, and will have completed construction of a brand new hospital building in the heart of Harrisburg by the end of 2024.
We are honored to be Cabarrus County's premier veterinary hospitals, and will continue to strive to ensure our clients and patients are receiving the best possible customer service experience and the most progressive medical and surgical offerings in town.
