Veterinarian
Hi! I'm Dr. Lea Barbee. I graduated from Texas A&M with a degree in Biomedical Science in 2006, and decided to continue my education at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine, graduating in 2010. After earning my degree, I practiced small animal medicine in Salisbury, NC from 2010 to 2017, and then in Mooresville, NC from 2017 to 2018 before joining the team at Cabarrus Animal Hospital.
I am a proud member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), as well as the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association (NCVMA).
Favorite Part of my Job
I have a particular interest in internal medicine and client education. I believe that educating pet owners is essential in ensuring the long-term health and well-being of their pets.
Why I chose this profession
Growing up with both of my parents in the medical field, I naturally developed a strong interest in science and medicine. This passion, combined with my enjoyment of playing a key role in my family pets' health, guided me toward a career in veterinary medicine.
Personal Hobbies & Interests
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, reading, gardening, and traveling.
